Our body’s ability to adapt to its environment is essential for preventing injury and maintaining optimal performance. The nervous system relies on input from sensory receptors in the muscles, joints, and connective tissues to coordinate proper movement and stability.

Dr. Ben uses functional movement assessments in Edmond to evaluate how your body moves as a whole. By identifying biomechanical imbalances, movement dysfunction, and areas of compensation, he can pinpoint the root cause of pain, limited mobility, or decreased performance.

Corrective Exercises for Strength, Stability & Injury Prevention

Once movement imbalances are identified, Dr. Ben creates a personalized plan using corrective exercises to improve strength, stability, balance, and coordination. These exercises are designed to address your specific needs and can be performed at home to support your progress between visits.

Corrective exercises help:

  • Improve movement patterns and coordination

  • Increase strength and stability

  • Reduce risk of injury

  • Enhance athletic performance

  • Support long-term mobility and function

By combining functional movement assessment with targeted corrective exercises, we help your body move more efficiently, reduce pain, and stay balanced and healthy.

Functional Movement & Corrective Exercises
Kinesio Taping

Kinesio Taping offers structural or muscle support; it can correct postural problems and increase blood flow and lymphatic drainage. When applied correctly, the latex-free, fiber tape lifts the skin to create a small space between the muscle and dermis layers. That space takes the pressure off swelling or injured muscles, allows smooth muscle movement and makes space for drainage and blood flow. The result is improved circulation and better healing.

Myofascial Decompression (Cupping)

Cupping therapy, also known as myofascial decompression (MFD), is a soft tissue treatment used to relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and support recovery. At Radiant Life Chiropractic, we offer cupping therapy in Edmond, OK to help patients reduce pain, restore mobility, and enhance healing.

This technique uses specialized vacuum cups applied to the skin to gently lift the underlying fascia and muscle tissue. By creating space between tissue layers, cupping helps reduce restriction, improve blood flow, and promote more efficient movement.

How Cupping Therapy Works

Unlike traditional compression-based therapies, cupping works by decompressing the tissue. This allows for improved circulation, reduced inflammation, and better movement of the muscles and fascia. Cupping therapy is commonly used to treat muscle tightness, soft tissue restrictions, and areas of chronic tension or injury.

Benefits of Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy in Edmond can help:

  • Break up adhesions and existing scar tissue

  • Reduce myofascial dysfunction and tightness

  • Improve blood flow to muscles, tendons, and ligaments

  • Decrease inflammation and promote healing

  • Reduce the formation of scar tissue

  • Release trigger points and muscle tension

  • Improve mobility and overall function

Graston

The Graston Technique is an instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy used to treat acute, chronic, and post-surgical conditions. At Radiant Life Chiropractic, we offer Graston Technique in Edmond, OK to help reduce pain, improve mobility, and support faster healing.

How the Graston Technique Works

When soft tissue injuries occur—such as muscle strains, ligament sprains, or tendon irritation—restrictions can develop within the muscles and surrounding fascia. These restrictions, often referred to as scar tissue or adhesions, can limit movement and contribute to ongoing pain.

The Graston Technique uses specialized instruments to gently glide along the skin, helping identify areas of dysfunction and break up scar tissue and fascial adhesions. This process promotes improved blood flow, restores mobility, and supports the body’s natural healing response.

Benefits of Graston Therapy

Graston therapy in Edmond can help:

  • Break up scar tissue and adhesions

  • Improve range of motion and flexibility

  • Reduce pain and inflammation

  • Promote faster recovery from injury

  • Improve soft tissue function

  • Support post-surgical healing

Conditions Treated with Graston Technique

We commonly use the Graston Technique to treat:

  • Sprains and strain injuries

  • Back pain and neck pain

  • Shoulder, knee, and ankle pain

  • Headaches

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

  • Plantar Fasciitis
